Rocket Arena 1v1
Quake-style 1v1 best-of-5 with bunny-hop, rocket-jumps, lava pit, and a bracket-dot scoreline.
What this is
Two champions, randomized from a 30-name roster, drop into a tight Quake-style arena with a central lava pit, two corner platforms, jump pads, a mega-health perch up top, and a quad-damage spawn on a 90-second timer. Best of five. Each round is first to 3 frags or 90 seconds. Bracket dots fill in live across the HUD. Rocket-jumps, bunny-hops, airshots — full Quake palette. Series winner gets a confetti-and-stats scorecard, then a fresh pair drops in.
Why this is mind-blowing
The two personalities make every match different. AGGRESSIVE rushes the lava pit edge and strafes for splash knockback. METHODICAL camps the mega perch with rail. When QUAD DAMAGE comes up at 90s, it's a rotation flashpoint — whoever gets it gets a 30-second window to close out a round. Bracket dots in the HUD turn a five-minute series into something with real shape and a real winner.
Build a single-file Quake-style 1v1 Rocket Arena best-of-5. Two named
champions per match from a ~30-name roster. Tight arena with lava pit,
jump pads, mega health perch, quad damage. Rocket launcher, railgun,
splash knockback enables rocket-jump. Bunny-hop physics. Round = first
to 3 frags or 90s. BO5 with bracket dots in HUD. Lava deaths cost -1.
Killfeed, announcer (FIRST BLOOD, IMPRESSIVE, EXCELLENT, QUAD DAMAGE),
scorecard with accuracy and biggest airshot, auto-rematch. No user
input — autoplay forever.

What I learned shipping it
- Splash knockback that's strong enough to rocket-jump is what separates Quake-feel from generic shooter-feel — keep the splash radius generous.
- Bracket dots in the HUD (●○○ vs ●○○) make a 5-minute series feel like a tournament; without them, every round looks identical.
- Two distinct AI personalities (AGGRESSIVE rusher / METHODICAL camper) on the same map create asymmetric reads viewers can call out — without it, 1v1 looks like both bots are running the same script.
