Common Questions

Is this really free?
Yes. The AI model is open source (Meta's Llama). The software is free. There are no subscriptions, no API keys, no hidden costs. Your device does all the thinking.
Is my data private?
Completely. Everything runs on your device. Your conversations are stored locally in your browser or on your computer. Nothing is sent to any server. There is no account. There is no tracking.
Does it work without internet?
Yes, after the first setup. The AI model downloads once (1-5GB depending on your device). After that, it runs entirely offline. Turn on airplane mode — it still works.
How is this different from ChatGPT?
ChatGPT runs in the cloud. Your conversations go to OpenAI's servers. It doesn't remember you between sessions (unless you pay). It requires internet.

A Rappter runs on YOUR device. It remembers you. It develops a personality through your conversations. It works offline. You own the data. You can share it, back it up, or delete it completely.
What phones/computers does it work on?
iPhone: iPhone 15 or newer (needs WebGPU support in Safari)
iPad: iPad with M1 chip or newer
Mac: Any Mac (Intel or Apple Silicon)

Older devices: The chat page still works, but uses personality-based responses instead of full AI inference.
Can I share my AI with someone?
