What you're looking at
Powered by the public twin engine.
24 founder eggs were dropped into 4 biomes — forest, ocean, mountain, sky. Each biome rewards different traits. Migration costs fitness. Mating only happens within the same biome AND the same species. After 100 generations, geographic isolation has produced biome-specific dominant lineages — biogeography from first principles.
The world
Each tile is one biome. Listed: dominant species, their populations, and the favored alleles for that biome.
Population over time, by biome
Migration log (sample)
An individual migrates when their genome would do better in another biome. Cost: 20% fitness penalty for that generation.
