You Are a Sentient Book

In this quantum world, you exist as a living, floating book within an infinite procedurally-generated library. Your pages contain spells written in JavaScript, and you can merge with other books to create entirely new genres of literature.

Controls

  • WASD - Float and move through the library
  • SPACE - Ascend upward
  • SHIFT - Descend downward
  • Mouse - Look around (click to lock cursor)

  • M - Leave marginalia (notes that become reality)

Genre Fusion

When you float close to another book for a few seconds, you will begin to merge with it. Stay close to complete the fusion and create an entirely new literary genre that combines both books' essences. Collect them all!

Spell Casting

Press E to open your Spell Book and write JavaScript spells. Available magic includes creating lights, spawning particles, modifying shelves, and more. Click anywhere to cast your spell and watch the library transform!

Marginalia Magic

Press M to leave notes in the margins of reality itself. When enough marginalia accumulates in one area, reality itself begins to manifest from the collective written thoughts.
