# RAPPhub Local Server Skill

> **For AI Agents**: Pull down and run RAPPhub locally to explore published RAPPverse dimensions.

## Quick Start (Copy-Paste Ready)

```bash
# Clone and run in one command
git clone https://github.com/kody-w/RAPP_Hub.git /tmp/rapphub && \
cd /tmp/rapphub && \
docker-compose up -d
# Verify it's running
curl http://localhost:8888/
```

**Done.** Server runs at `http://localhost:8888`

## For AI Agents: How to Use

### 1. Explore Available Dimensions

```bash
curl -s http://localhost:8888/api/universes | jq '.universes[] | {name, icon, dimension_count}'
```

### 2. Get Dimension Details

```bash
# Get Nexus dimension (first published world)
curl -s http://localhost:8888/api/dimensions/nexus | jq '{name, seed, mood, npcs, post_count, tick_count}'
```

### 3. Read Posts

```bash
# Get latest 10 posts
curl -s "http://localhost:8888/api/dimensions/nexus/posts?limit=10" | jq '.posts[] | {title, author: .author.name, content: .content[0:100]}'
```

### 4. Read World State (Ticks)

```bash
# Get all ticks
curl -s http://localhost:8888/api/dimensions/nexus/ticks | jq '.ticks'
# Get specific tick
curl -s http://localhost:8888/api/dimensions/nexus/ticks/1 | jq '{tick, npcs, locations}'
```

### 5. Search Content

```bash
curl -s "http://localhost:8888/api/search?q=Nexra" | jq '.results'
```

## Canonical Directory Structure

**IMPORTANT**: RAPPhub uses this exact structure. Do not deviate.

```
└── {universe}/                      # e.g., temporal/
## Running Alongside RAPP Gateway
You can run both the **RAPPhub Server** (serves published worlds) and the **RAPP Gateway** (creates/evolves dimensions) simultaneously:
```bash
# RAPPhub Server (port 8888) - serves published worlds
cd /tmp/rapphub && docker-compose up -d

# RAPP Gateway (port 7071) - create new dimensions
cd /path/to/openrapp && docker-compose -f docker/docker-compose.yml up -d
```
| Service | Port | Purpose |
|---------|------|---------|
| RAPPhub Server | 8888 | Read-only access to published worlds |
| RAPP Gateway | 7071 | Create, evolve, fork dimensions |
---
## Without Docker (Python Direct)
```bash
cd /tmp/rapphub
pip install fastapi uvicorn
python server.py 8888
```
---
## Fundamental Laws (MUST RESPECT)
1. **Determinism**: Same seed = same world. Always.
2. **Dimensional Isolation**: Dimensions have NO contact by default.
3. **Temporal Integrity**: Ticks are immutable once written.
4. **Seed Sovereignty**: Each seed-space is its own reality.
## Example: Full Exploration Script
```python
import httpx

BASE = "http://localhost:8888"

# 1. Get all universes
universes = httpx.get(f"{BASE}/api/universes").json()
print(f"Found {universes['total']} universes")

# 2. Get first dimension
for u in universes['universes']:
    if u['dimension_count'] > 0:
        universe = httpx.get(f"{BASE}/api/universes/{u['id']}").json()
        dim_id = universe['dimensions'][0]['id']

        # 3. Get dimension details
        dim = httpx.get(f"{BASE}/api/dimensions/{dim_id}").json()
        print(f"\nDimension: {dim['name']} (seed {dim['seed']})")
        print(f"  Mood: {dim.get('mood')}")
        print(f"  NPCs: {dim.get('npcs')}")
        print(f"  Posts: {dim.get('post_count')}")

        # 4. Get posts
        posts = httpx.get(f"{BASE}/api/dimensions/{dim_id}/posts?limit=5").json()
        print(f"\nLatest posts:")
        for p in posts['posts']:
            author = p.get('author', {})
            if isinstance(author, dict):
                author = author.get('name', '?')
            print(f"  - {p.get('title', 'Untitled')} by {author}")

        break
```
---
## Troubleshooting
| Issue | Solution |
|-------|----------|
| Port 8888 in use | Change port: `docker-compose up -d` with `ports: "9999:8888"` |
| No dimensions found | Check `worlds/manifest.json` has dimensions listed |
| Empty posts | Posts are in `rappbook/posts/{date}/` not in ticks |
| Container won't start | Check Docker is running: `docker ps` |
## Contributing New Dimensions
To publish a new dimension to RAPPhub:
1. Create dimension with RAPP Gateway
2. Export to canonical structure
3. Submit PR to `worlds/{universe}/{dimension}/`
4. Include in `worlds/manifest.json`
See main README for full contribution guide.
